June 13, 2008 Earlier in the week we had a call from Bryn that some of Sunita's cousins couldn't make it to her graduation. She asked him to call Anne & Bob and Coumba & Rouky. C&R made it to the party in the evening. Anne managed to change her Friday workday to Thursday so that A&B could be there. It was a wonderful day - warm and sunny, but not unbearably hot. People everywhere around us were in good spirits as one lower class after another walked into the seats under the enormous grandmother red beech tree, the graduates last. There were tears and cheers as one student after the other gave a brie
f talk and then received their diploma. Sunita's family was as proud as any. We felt privileged to be included.
That evening Patty and Chandu gave a party at their home. Good food, conversation, cake and coffee were plenteous. It was difficult to tear ourselves away at almost 11 p.m. If you'd like to see some more pictures click on this link.
