Singing for Our Lives!

Where do you sing? When do you sing? In the shower maybe? In the car? In the kitchen? To the birds? To your baby or your lover?

Bob and I sing lots of places including the kitchen, the car and with friends and Friends (Quakers). Since Bob joined the Westchester County Chordsmen (formerly known as the Golden Chordsmen) and I joined the Walkabout Clearwater Chorus (know in some circles as Pete Seeger's chorus, since he started it) we have found more harmony in our lives together. Pete was right that singing can bring peace.

Above: The Family That Made this a Home

Anne & Bob and Norma and Debby, each of the latter two with a child, bought and moved to our home together in 1977. In’78 Deb married George and with her son, Dan, moved to George's place in "the country" (Springfield Center, NY). Soon Yvonne, Julie and Karyn moved in. Anne's parents, sister, cousin and their families and other siblings-by-love have been supportive of our family and are considered kind of family by most of this group. Though we have had stresses and challenges in the past 30 years, we became a loving family, continuing to share the highs and lows of our lives. In 1995 Coumba moved in and shortly gave birth to Rouky, living here for a decade and forming a 2nd generation of children in our home and in our hearts. This home is a place where we can feel all the love we have shared here.
